Dr Nikhil Patel

Nikhil is now one of the co-owners of the Practice. Qualified in 2012 he has experience and interest in cosmetic and implant dentistry. With a Diploma in Implantology from the Royal College of Surgeons, Nikhil enjoys carrying our simple to complex implant cases, including bone grafting and immediate placement. He is also actively involved in mentoring and lecturing implant diploma students.

Dr Kishan Lakhani

As a co-owner of the Practice, Kishan will be keen to expand on his success as one of the Top 150 Invisalign Providers in the World. The clear braces have become a staple of Kishan’s dental care since he became qualified in 2015. Along with two other Practices, Kishan is building a reputation as a thorough, detailed dentist who uses his skills to care for his patients and the wider community.

Dr John O’Grady

Qualified as a dentist at University College London in 1989 and held a number of hospital training posts before working in general practice. In 1994 he completed a Masters Degree in Prosthetic Dentistry. John works as a part time lecturer at Guys Hospital and is accredited by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Prosthodontics. Prosthodontics is the science and art of replacing missing, damaged or unsightly teeth.

John is a member of the British Dental Association, the British Prosthodontic Society and the British Society for Restorative Dentistry.

Dr Claire Rogers

Qualified as a dentist at University College London in 1990. Claire is a part time lecturer and associate specialist at Barts and the London Hospital School of Medicine and Dentistry. In 1994 she completed a Masters Degree in Paediatric Dentistry with distinction. She has won an international award for her research in children’s dentistry and is accredited by the General Dental Council as a Specialist in Paedodontics.

Claire chose the Speciality of Paediatric, or Children’s Dentistry as she loves working with children. Paediatric Dentistry allows Claire to practice her skills in both clinical dentistry and behavioural management. Claire accepts referrals for children requiring specialist Paediatric Dentistry at the practice.

By providing treatment focused on the needs of each individual child, she aims to make dental visits a pleasant and care free experience for both children and their parents. In this way the commonly held fear of going to the dentist should become a thing of the past. As well as providing care as kindly and gently as possibly, preventative advice and care can be focused effectively to reduce the risks of dental problems occurring in the future.

Dr Phil Mitchell

Philip qualified as a dentist from University College Hospital in 1989 and subsequently completed a Master’s degree in endodontics at Guy’s Hospital in 1996. He has been on the specialist’s list for endodontics (root canal treatments) since 1999 and has had a practice limited to endodontics since 1997. He has lectured widely in the UK and abroad and has contributed to endodontic text books.

Philip is a member of the British Dental Association and the British Endodontic Society. He is a part-time consultant and an honorary senior lecturer at King’s College Dental School.

Dr Shree Lakhani

Along with Ventsi and Kishan, Shree is a fellow Young Dentist of the Year Nominee. Fully qualified and experienced in Invisalign procedures, Shree has begun to move her sights to Facial Aesthetics and Cosmetic Dentistry. Her understanding of chemical peels, medical grade skin care, fillers and ‘Botox’ makes her a true professional in making us look like the best versions that we can be.

Dr Fleur Mumford

Fleur qualified as a dentist at King’s College London in 2004. She went on to complete her speciality training in Oral Surgery at the Royal London Hospital. Fleur is accredited by the General Dental Council at a specialist in Oral Surgery. She combines her time at Berkhamsted Dental Practice with working as a Consultant in Oral Surgery at Queen Mary College, University of London, where she is involved in both under-graduate and post-graduate teaching. Fleur is also an examiner for the General Dental Council and is a member of the British Association of Oral Surgeons.

Dr Aoife Keogh

Highly qualified and equally as comfortable at providing first-class care, Aoife is the current President of the European Postgraduate Orthodontic Society which has enabled her to travel around the world to collaborate and learn from world-leading orthodontists. She has published multiple research papers and is a peer-reviewer for the British Dental Journal. Aoife’s main focus will be on creating beautiful smiles that radiate confidence.

Dental Hygienists

Jane Shrowder

Jane completed her training as a hygienist in 1980 whilst serving in the RAF and has a broad experience both in the RAF and in general practice. Jane has been involved in running clinical trials of innovative treatments for gum disease.

Estelle qualified as a dental hygienist at London’s Eastman Dental Hospital in 1998. She has been an important part of the team at Berkhamsted Dental Practice since we first opened in 2001.

Cate trained as a dental hygienist in Cardiff. She is passionate about preventing Oral Diseases and assisting patients to develop a home care plan suited to their individual needs. Cate also has written articles for various dental journals.

Louise has been part of our team for the past 11 years and has taken great pride in supporting our patients. A proud Mum of two, Louise is an avid Saracens Rugby fan and in 2024 added the London Marathon to an impressive list of her accomplishments.

Hollie Payne

Hollie joined us in 2018, qualifying with her Diploma in Dental Nursing Level 3 QCF City & Guilds in 2020. As a new Mum, Hollie enjoys baking and yoga and has even set up a small wool embroidery business personalising baby clothes.

Rebekah Hesse-Amartey

Rebekah joined us in 2023 as an Apprentice and is currently working towards becoming a Dental Nurse. Passionate for making patients feel comfortable, Rebekah uses that same care in baking in the kitchen, but be careful not to eat too much of her carrot cake frosting!

Sam Willcox

Bringing over 25 years of dedicated service as a Dental Receptionist, Sam is one of the first faces you’ll see when you visit us. Outside of dentistry, Sam has flexed her creative skills through her love of photography; but when she’s not too busy taking photos, Sam will be extending a warm welcome to everyone who walks through our doors.

Emily Mosley

One of the newer faces in the Practice, Emily has a qualification in Personal Training and a degree in Sport and Exercise Science. With an eye on our overall fitness, she will be using her enthusiasm to keep us all on our toes. She loves working with people, but also enjoys spending time with her horse.

Rhysean Salter

You are sure to get a warm welcome from Rhysh who is another part of our Reception Team. As the first point of call for our Practice, it is their job to build a relationship with our patients, creating a trusting and professional environment in which we can deliver the best care possible.
